Original Ceramic Sculpture ($1300)

Vole Patrol - original ceramic sculpture of a long tailed weasel by sculptor Lori Kiplinger Pandy. The weasel is perched upon a hand-built globe - the inside is fire-glazed with flowing greens and blues. The exterior of the globe and weasel are hand patinaed.
The long tailed weasel is a common weasel and the largest of the species. While beautifully slender and graceful they are also skilled and ferocious hunters. Weasels can eat 20-40% of their body weight in prey every day and will hunt animals much larger than themselves. One of their favorite meals is the vole - they are always on vole patrol.
